This course helped me take accountability for my actions in my divorce. And help me understand and set boundaries in my coparenting relationship. This course was eye opening. Initially, I felt it would be a waste of my time, but I began to realize how beneficial it was during the second section. I started the course because I had to. but I started to look forward to utilizing the information presented. Not simply for the well-being of my daughter, but also for myself. It helped me better understand myself. as well as my spouse’s response to the separation and impending divorce. This course was a good baseline for how to move forward through the difficult process of divorce. Makes you think of your part in the failed relationship but also how you can succeed in your new relationship as parents. Overall, Great course, lots of examples and necessary information. Enjoyed the role playing in order to help the divorcees to Think out loud, or think outside the box!! Insightful, getting both male and female perspectives. i like the power that they have to be able to come together and help others that are going through something that is not easy to understand and making it work The first video i can relate it made me cry! because the children are the once that get affected by all of this! This is a great course. It really makes you think about how your decisions in the past have affected your future and will affect your child’s future. Ive learned a lot most of which i need to take in and let it sit with me and i put into my daily life of learning to forgive and reach a point that we can co parent effectively and appropriately, personally i think this class was wonderful and helpful to many degrees that not only divorcing people need to learn and hear but anyone going through a rough road of impasses which their spouse or relationship with another would benefit from this class. Learn of forgiveness and not to blame to understand and make boundaries… COMMUNICATION IS KEY this course really gives you perspective. You really need to be willing to do this to succeed. This program really does help you understand how to deal with and learn how to grow yourself in order to have a better divorce for not only you but your child and ex-spouse. There is so much to be taken away from these videos and the worksheet. I am very happy with the self-reflecting and calling people out to look at things as an adult and as unbiased as possible. I hope my daughters mother takes the sane course because I believe it would be a great service to our co-parenting relationship and out daughter. Appreciated the learning opportunity and will use these techniques. Great insight into “what really happened” and why. Always start from “what is best for the children”. really made me think back on where and what I did to cause problems and how I can work forward. Very informative information. Great consolidation of resources in Section 5. was good to get other point of views This course was mandatory in my county before divorce could be started. I appreciate the child focused approach and being encouraged to reflect on my own actions, responsibilities, and contributions that lead to the divorce. Working through all of this switching my internal script from a victim mindset to that of a responsible party has allowed me to own it, work through it and know that the real journey for my daughter and our restructured family starts today. There were mixed emotions going into the course and I was not sure I would learn anything…well I did. There are plenty of useful tidbits throughout the course, but the constant emphasis on responsibility and communication hit home. The divorce advice in the last video is spot on, only wish I had seen it a year ago!,Accountability
